On June 3rd, Township Council introduced Ordinance No. 15-2009, authorizing bonds or notes to temporarily finance the construction of Imagination Kingdom II until the Township receives its grant/loan funding from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and the Garden State Preservation Trust. The Township grant application was approved in the amount of a $445,000 grant and matching loan of $445,000. Because Pemberton Township is designated as an Urban Aid community, the loan was awarded as a zero-interest loan rather than the typical 2% loan. The loan and matching grant will enable Pemberton Township to reconstruct Imagination Kingdom at the New Lisbon Sports Complex on Pemberton-Browns Mills Road.
