PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE
that the Township of Pemberton has applied to the New Jersey
Department of Environmental Protection, Green Acres Program, to divert a 0.061 acre portion
(2,662 sq. ft.) of the Township’s Rail Trail, identified as Block 787, Lot 4 on the Township’s tax
map, Burlington County, for the purpose of permitting the adjacent property, Lot 13 in Block
786.01, access to the existing sanitary sewer line which will enable the property owner of Lot 13
to install a sanitary sewer line to service an adjacent planned age-restricted housing development
and interconnect that line to the existing sanitary sewer line. The proposed diversion will not cause
permanent disturbance and the temporary disturbance will be compensated at a ratio of
approximately 341 to 1 or 20.836 acres of compensation to 0.061 acres of diversion.

Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 7:36-26.11(e) a public hearing to obtain public comment on this request will
be held in Public Meeting Room (Room 10) at the Municipal Building, located at 500
Pemberton-Brown Mills Road, Pemberton, NJ, 08064, on June 12, 2023, at 6:00 p.m.

All information submitted by the Township of Pemberton to the Department in support of this
requested diversion of parkland is available for public inspection at the Municipal Building,
located at 500 Pemberton-Brown Mills Road, Pemberton, NJ, 08064, the Pemberton Community
Library, located at
16 Broadway St, Browns Mills, NJ 08015 and the Department’s Office of
Transactions and Public Land Administration, located at
401 East State Street, 7th Floor, Trenton,

All interested parties are invited to attend and participate in the hearing. Written comments on the
diversion request may be directed to Rosemary Flaherty, Director of Community Development, at

comments submitted on this request to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection,

Burlington County Compliance Officer. A copy of any written comments can also be submitted to

Trail” in the subject line. Public comment on this diversion request will be accepted during the
public hearing or until June 26, 2023
